Rowing is quite unlike any physical activity found in 'everyday
life'. The problems of poor fitness training regimes that exist
in many sports become more acute in rowing - the normal diet of
jogging and ad-hoc circuit training is unlikely to achieve much.
This site sets out suggestions for efficient fitness training
for rowers, and would-be rowers, of any level. Its aim is to empower
you, the rower to take responsibility for the training of your
own body, and for you to obtain maximum fitness benefits for whatever
